Easy Chocolate Banana Smoothie Recipe w/ Superfoods

This is my favorite smoothie recipe, and I just had to share it with you. Not only is it tasty, but it is also perfect for your health. It is jam-packed with antioxidants and other nutrients, and you can credit the superfoods. Here are the superfoods and their benefits:

  • Cacao is said to have 40 times the antioxidants of blueberries and has a high iron content. In addition to that, it is full of magnesium and calcium and is a natural mood elevator and anti-depressant.

  • Hemp Seeds are a great source of fiber (easily digested) and are a complete plant protein. It contains all of the essential amino acids needed to nourish the body.

  • Black Chia Seeds are a perfect addition to any smoothie. It contains many antioxidants, minerals, fiber, and omega-3 and promotes heart health, healthy bones, and blood sugar.

Beans and Grains Got You GASSY? Try this hack!

We all know that trying to eat healthy doesn't always feel comfortable, especially when we try to change things up all of a sudden.

I always encourage my clients to eat more WHOLE foods such as Legumes (bean and peas) and grains, but I get a lot of push back.

I figured out that the reason is because many individuals have a lot of painful gas, bloating and overall stomach discomfort when eating more beans and grains.

This typically happens because beans contain a type of carbohydrate that is poorly digested by the body. The good bacteria in the large intestines has a hard time breaking down this nutrient which usually results in gas and the bloating.

Not to mention, beans are rich in fiber and resistant starches which further challenges the enzymes and bacteria during digestion.

Does this mean that we avoid beans forever and never get the good…
