Benefits of Castor Oil

We live in a world where mother nature has been so generous to us and our existence, with cures in millions of fruits, herbs, seeds. Castor oil is one of them and it holds immense benefits to our well being, and we have carefully handpicked some of the most prominent benefits of castor oil and how it can be applied for our benefit.

  1. Hair and skin: castor oil is rich in vitamin E, minerals and proteins, which have immense benefits to the hair and the skin. It also has a high content of ricin oleic acid in castor oil makes it an excellent anti-bacterial for treating various bacterial infections on the skin. This oil also helps in getting rid of warts corns, and moles. For hair, it contains anti-inflammatory properties that enhance blood circulation through the pores of our scalp, so a considerable amount of castor oil on the scalp is like giving water to plants. Castor oil can also promote stronger and healthier hair growth, while reducing hair loss.

  2. Ovarian Cyst: Many health practitioners believe that ovarian cysts are the result of toxins that build up in the ovaries and the body has a hard time getting rid of it. With the high amount of ricin oleic acid in castor oil, it is a good source of lymphocytes, highly effective cells that fight disease-causing toxins in the body. So, it is safe to say that to improve cysts consider castor oil packs regularly. This oil has the unique ability to penetrate the skin to relax and smooth muscle, which helps it penetrate the blood and lymph vessels, the uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, bowels, gall bladder, liver, etc., and correct any issues. Using it is believed to help dissolve cysts in the ovary as it has fatty acids that get absorbed by the skin.

  3. For Constipation: When taken orally, castor oil releases ricin oleic acids in the intestines and, as a result, has a laxative effect that cures constipation. Its hotness helps us digest our food faster and cleanse the system by helping in proper bowel movement. IN addition, the packs can be applied topically to possible reduce inflammation of the intestines and make stools softer and easier to pass.

  4. For Stye: A stye is a small, painful lump on or inside the eyelid or around the eye that causes redness and swelling on the skin, usually filled with yellow pus-like fluid like a pimple. We can also leverage the anti-bacterial components of this oil to be used to treat against stye too. A small drop of the oil on the affected area 2-3 times a day can help ease the effect of the disease. However, we should be careful not to abuse the use of this oil and may have side effects like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or cramping. So, we would advise that it should not be used orally more than one-half or two teaspoons per day.
